What Are Peak Hours?
During peak hours, electricity demand in Pakistan is at its highest. To discourage excessive load on the national grid, utility providers charge a significantly higher rate per unit (often reaching Rs. 45-55+ per unit) compared to the standard off-peak rate. Avoid using ACs, water pumps, and irons during these windows.

Summer
Apr to Oct
6:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Extra Rs. 15-20 per unit applied to 3-phase meters (TOU billing).
Winter
Nov to Mar
6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Winter daylight saving adjustments applied automatically.
Does this apply to me?
Peak hours currently only affect consumers with Time-of-Use (TOU) digital 3-phase meters. If you have a standard single-phase residential meter, your unit cost remains flat regardless of the hour, but you should still conserve energy during peak times to reduce nation-wide load shedding.
